Sleeping Beauty Ballet Performance
Dance Recital Weekend! The girls performed in the Academy of Ballet's performance of Sleeping Beauty. Hailey was a Court Fairy and Kaitlyn was a Bunny. Both girls did a great job, and loved being on stage.
Rockets
Over Memorial Day Weekend we went out to shoot off rockets. This is one of my favorite things I remember doing as a kid, and our girls loved it too!
Kaitlyn looks like a serious diva. Some good relaxing with Grandpa Great.

Payson Temple Open House
When Mom and Dad came up to visit we went to the Payson Temple Open House with them. The Payson temple is GORGEOUS!!!! I loved all of the stained glass windows inside that let in so much natural light. The cousins loved playing together. And happily no one fell in the fountain.
The sun was VERY bright. And Kaitlyn has super sun-sensitive eyes. Poor girl.

Chinese Dinner
Our friends the Palmers invited us over for an authentic Chinese dinner about a month ago. We had so much fun! The girls were very adventurous and appreciative of the new kinds of food we got to try. The fish balls were a favorite for all of us. Everything was cooked in the hot pot in the middle of the table. It was such a fun night for Joey to get to talk about his time in Hong Kong, and enjoy the flavors he hasn't had in such a long time.
Butterflies
One of Hailey's birthday presents was a butterfly kit. It came with a butterfly house and a coupon that we used to purchase the caterpillars and caterpillar food.
We watched the caterpillars grow, turn into chrysalises, and finally were able to watch the Painted Lady Butterflies. We had hoped to see them actually emerge from the chrysalises, but they were sneaky and we only saw them each after the fact.
When it was time to let them go, the butterflies were a little hesitant to venture out into the big world. This was perfect because the girls had a chance to hold them for a while, which was incredibly neat. Hailey finally grew worried because we let them go on her way to school, and holding them for so long had us running a little late. Hatching butterflies is definitely something we would love to do again!

It's A....
BOY!!!!!
Hailey's first comment was "I TOLD you it was a boy!" Kaitlyn had been adamant that she was going to have a little SISTER, so I was slightly concerned how she would react. She grinned and said "I'm going to have a BROTHER!" PHEW!
