The Melting Pot

My Sister-in-Law, E, and her boyfriend, K, took me and J out to the Melting Pot for my birthday. It was FABULOUS! We had a 4 course dinner- we began with 3 pots of cheeses- a spinach dip, cheddar cheese, and swiss cheese. We had chips, apples, veggies, and breads to dip in the cheese. Course 2 was salads. I had a ceasar salad and it was great. Then course 3 was meats. We had filet minon, lobster tail, shrimp, brats, and chicken, as well as some brocolli, mushrooms and potatoes. We had 2 different flavors to boil them in. We each had our own set of skewers with a specific color so we would put our meat in the pot for 1-3 minutes and then take it back out and dip it in one of the many sauces provided. Course 4 was my favorite... dessert!!!! We had 3 types of chocolate- one was snickers (chocolate, peanut butter, caramel... yum). One was bananas foster which had white chocolate and banana pieces and was divine. The last was Cookies and Cream which was dark chocolate with marshmallow and crushed oreos. Our waiter flambe'd each of them which was fun to watch. We had marshmallows, pound cake, bananas, brownies, rice krispy treats, and strawberries to dip. My favorite was the strawberries in the snickers fondue. YUM YUM YUM.
THANK YOU E AND K!!!!!!!!!

Look at all of that steam! It got a little toasty, but we decided we were happy about the free facials... even if they did smell like garlic.

I wish I had thought to take more pictures of the food. It was soooooooooo delicious.
