In August we were able to go to a base-wide camp out. We were able to choose our "campsites" and were happy to be able to camp by several other families who we are friends with. This was my kind of camping... an incredibly decreased chance of coming home with tics, our food was all prepared for us, we had lots of fun activities (go karts, smores, popcorn and a late night movie...)
Little H had been begging us to go camping all summer, and this camp out met all of her expectations. Including that of "snuggling in our sleeping bags and listening to a spooky story." (The scary story was about a worm who ended up on a hook, and was eaten by a fish. Thanks for keeping it light, Dad!)
Sign me up for the next camp out! That's even easier than sleeping in your backyard.
